Why teams pick FieldBase
Field operations software has a connectivity assumption built into most of its design. Cloud-connected forms, real-time job updates, live route optimisation — all of these work in the office demo and fail on a construction site basement, a rural pipeline inspection, or a hospital equipment room with no mobile signal.
FieldBase treats connectivity as optional at the data layer and opportunistic at the sync layer. The local database on the device is the source of truth. When signal returns — cellular, Wi-Fi, or even a brief connection at the depot — everything syncs in the background without the crew member doing anything. A job completed with no signal for six hours is indistinguishable in the system from one completed with full LTE.
The signature capture and automatic PDF generation replace the most persistent paper process in field operations. Most organisations that have moved to digital job management still hand crews a paper job sheet for the customer signature at completion. FieldBase closes that loop — the PDF is in the system and emailed to the customer before the crew has driven away.
Who it is for
FieldBase is used by utilities, facilities management companies, equipment inspection teams, delivery and collection operations, and any organisation sending crews to locations where mobile signal is inconsistent.
